'UnOfficially Yours' Starring Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz

Star Cinema has released the official full trailer of the upcoming romantic movie "Unofficially Yours."

Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz reunite on the big screen in the upcoming Star Cinema romantic movie "Unofficially Yours."

Here is the synopsis of the movie:

The film deals about a man who falls in love with someone who doesn’t want to fall in love. John Lloyd plays the role of Macky Galvez, a depressed young man who’s been contemplating on why he had several failed relationships. Angel, on the other hand, plays the role of Ces, a modern-day woman who is afraid of commitments. When their worlds collide, a funny yet sexy love story develops!

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, "Unofficially Yours" is set to open in theaters on February 15, 2012.

Umalis na lahat, Angel Locsin hindi lilipat ng istasyon!

Marami ang nag-aakala na porke nasungkit ng TV5 si Aga Muhlach ay susundan na rin siya ni Angel Locsin. After all, interesado rin yata ang Kapatid network sa aktres na galing din ng GMA 7 bago napunta ng ABS-CBN.

Pero marami ang mabibigo kapag inasahan nila ang ganito sa aktres. Unang-una na, may kontrata ito sa Kapamilya Network. ’Di tulad ni Aga na natapos na ang serye, si Angel ay nasa kasagsagan pa ng Imortal na pinagtatambalan nila ni John Lloyd Cruz. At nag-i-enjoy ito ng malakas na viewership ng kanyang serye.

“Maganda ang trato sa akin dito, bakit ko naman aalisan? Gusto ko rin ’yung pacing ng trabaho ko, hindi sunud-sunod, may pahinga at may pagkakataon na gumawa ng ibang bagay,” pagtatanggol ng magandang Kapamilya na umaming hindi naman naging malamig ang kanyang Pasko kahit pa nag-break sila ni Luis Manzano.

“Bagong taon, bagong pag-asa. Malay n’yo baka ma-meet ko rin this year ang right guy for me. Masarap na feeling ’yung alam mong may nag-aalala sa ’yo, ’yung may nag-aasikaso,” pag-amin ng aktres.

Angel Locsin Clarifies that She is Not Transferring to TV5

Angel Locsin denied the rumor that she is supposedly planning to transfer TV networks again. Just recently some tabloids have insinuated that Angel might be joining the bandwagon of stars who will be switching TV networks.

“Nabalitaan ko rin, pero imposibleng mangyari naman kasi may kontrata pa ako sa ABS-CBN,” clarified Angel. She added that her contract with the Kapamilya network will exist until next year.

“Hindi ko naman ho siguro hobby ‘yung lumipat ng istasyon,” joked Angel, who has previously transferred to ABS-CBN from GMA-7 in 2007. The Imortal actress also justified that she has no plans of switching TV networks because she is happy with her current home network. “Kung naa-appreciate ‘yung talent mo naa-appreciate ko rin na nare-recognize ka. Malaki kasi ang utang na loob ko sa ABS-CBN (and) so far okay naman ‘yung mga projects na ibinibigay nila sa akin.”

The actress also denied that she got an offer from TV5 and further explained that the substantial projects that she is currently doing only proves that she is being taken good care of by the Kapamilya network.

Meantime, Angel shared her excitement over the upcoming season two of the primetime teleserye Imortal and added that fans can expect the story to intensify in the coming weeks. “Abangan n’yo po kung ano ang magiging itsura ni Mateo (John Lloyd Cruz) ‘pag naging bampira na siya. Tingnan natin kung ano ang look niya, syempre tingnan natin kung hanggang saan ang pag-iibigan nina Lia (played my Angel) at Mateo and ang mga bago pang characters na papasok.”

She said that she is having a short break this Christmas and she is looking forward to spending her vacation with her family.

On the other hand, Volumes 1 and 2 of Imortal are recently released on video and are now available in leading video stores nationwide.

Angel Locsin is Voted the Most Beautiful Pinay of 2010

Young superstar--Angel Locsin--is voted no. 1 Most Beautiful Pinay for 2010. This is her fifth consecutive year topping Starmometer's online poll.

This year, Starmometer held the finals of 100 Most Beautiful Women on Facebook. Via the the official Starmometer Facebook Page, its 50,000+ followers cast their votes in this year's finals by clicking "like" under the photo of their favorite female celebrity.

The poll for the 20 finalists started last September 7 and ended last night, October 24, 2010. Unlike with other online or text polls, this process is free and only registered Facebook users were allowed to vote. This ensured 100% transparency and accuracy as each respondent’s vote(s) is recorded and his/her identity is seen by other respondents. Angel Locsin's camp speaks up about rift with Claudine Barretto

Finally, nagsalita na rin ang kampo ni Angel Locsin sa gitna ng mainit na kontrobersiya na nangyayari sa pagitan ng young actress at ng kasamahan niya sa ABS-CBN na si Claudine Barretto. Nagsimula ang sinasabing alitan nina Angel at Claudine nang minsang magtagpo sila sa salon ni Pin Antonio.

Unang lumabas ang balita tungkol sa alitan nila sa pamamagitan ng isang blind item, na later on ay pinangalanan din. Noong simula ay walang gustong magsalita kaya naman puro haka-haka lang ang lumabas.

Kung matatandaan, hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na napabalita na nagkaroon ng alitan sina Angel at Claudine. Napabalita noon na ayaw diumano ni Claudine na makasama si Angel sa iisang dressing room nang minsang magkasama sila sa isang show. Hindi rin daw nagustuhan ni Claudine ang pagkakadagdag ni Angel bilang endorser ng Folded & Hung, na ini-endorse din ng bida sa Iisa Pa Lamang.

TWO VERSIONS OF THE STORY. Hindi malinaw ang totoong nangyari sa pagitan nina Angel at Claudine sa loob ng salon dahil nagpasalin-salin na ang kuwento tungkol dito. Basta ang kumpirmado ay nagkaroon ng kumprontasyon ang dalawang Kapamilya stars.

Ayon sa kuwentong nakarating sa PEP, nang minsang magpaayos si Angel sa Pin Antonio Hairdressing ay dumating si Claudine. Tinanong daw ni Claudine si Angel kung totoong umalis na siya kay Becky Aguila at ang manager niya na ay si Ms. Malou Santos, ang managing director ng Star Cinema.

Itinanggi raw ito ni Angel at tinanong si Claudine kung kanino niya nabalitaan ito. Ayon kay Claudine, nakuha niya ang impormasyong ito sa makeup artist na nag-aayos mismo sa kanya that time, si Alex. Pero muli itong itinanggi ni Angel.

Nang tanungin daw ni Angel si Alex kung kanino niya nakuha ang balita, sinabi ng makeup artista na sa ina ng child actress na si Charming Lagusad, na alaga rin ni Becky. Ayon daw sa kuwento ng ina ni Charming ay umalis na sila sa poder ni Becky at pati raw si Angel.

Nang lumabas daw si Claudine para magpahangin ay sinundan siya ni Angel, na hindi mapakali dahil sa lumalabas na balita. Nilapitan daw ni Angel si Claudine at nagpaliwanag na hindi talaga totoo ang balitang si Malou Santos na ang kanyang manager.

Dito na raw pinagsalitaan ni Claudine si Angel ng kung anu-ano. Sinabihan pa diumano ni Claudine si Angel na hindi siya ang prinsesa ng ABS-CBN kundi si Bea Alonzo.

Pagbalik daw ni Angel sa loob ng salon ay nag-iiyak na raw ito at pinagbalingan ng galit si Alex. Nagtaas na raw ng boses si Angel at dinuro niya si Alex at sinipa ang isang silya.

Ayon naman sa isa pang kuwento, si Angel daw ang kumumpronta kay Claudine dahil ang pinakabata sa Barretto sisters daw ang nagpakalat sa balitang kaya sunud-sunod ang magagandang projects ng dating Kapuso star sa ABS-CBN ay dahil hawak na siya ng isang top executive ng Kapamilya network, na ang tinutukoy ay ang managing director ng Star Cinema.

GRETCHEN OPENS PANDORA'S BOX. Hanggang sa magsalita ang nakatatandang kapatid ni Claudine na si Gretchen Barretto sa presscon ng episode niya sa Maalaala Mo Kaya last Monday, July 14. Ipinagtanggol nito si Claudine sa sigalot na nangyari sa kanila ni Angel. Hindi man niya direktang sinabi ang nangyari sa kanyang kapatid at kay Angel, nakumpirma na totoo ngang nagkaroon ng kumprontasyon sa pagitan nina Angel at Claudine.

Ani Gretchen, "Naawa ako sa kapatid ko, siyempre. Kasi para ma-accuse si Claudine, siyempre naawa ako sa kanya. Pero alam ko naman kaya ni Claudine ‘yon. Sabi ko, that's part of being Claudine Barretto and having the fame and special treatment that you have in ABS-CBN. Kasi siyempre, matagal na siyang nandito sa ABS kaya nabibigyan siya ng special attention."

Inamin naman ni Gretchen na hindi pa niya naririnig ang panig ni Angel kaya mahirap din daw magsalita.

Pero nang tanungin si Gretchen kung babatiin ba niya si Angel kung sakaling makasalubong niya ito, ito ang naging sagot ni Gretchen: "Hindi ko alam. Takot ako, baka awayin din niya ako! Baka sigaw-sigawan niya ako. Oh my, God! Wala akong panahon!" (Click here to read related article).

ANGEL'S CAMP SPEAKS UP. Ayon sa kampo ni Angel, nalulungkot ang young actress dahil wala naman daw itong hangad na makipag-away o makasakit ng kapwa. Bagamat kabi-kabila ang tira sa kanya, mas pinili na lang niyang manahimik dahil ayaw raw niyang lumalala pa ang gulo sa pagitan nila ni Claudine. Pero may nakarating na impormasyon sa PEP na iniyakan ni Angel ang interview ni Gretchen.

Noong Martes, July 15, ay nagkaroon ng meeting ang ABS-CBN at Star Cinema executives with Angel and her manager, Becky Aguila, para pag-usapan ang lahat; partikular na ang tungkol sa insidenteng nangyari kina Angel at Claudine.

Para mas maliwanagan ang lahat ay nagsama si Becky ng isang empleyado mula sa Pin Antonio Hairdressing na nangangalang Beng na nakasaksi diumano ng buong pangyayari. Naroroon din ang kapatid ni Angel na si Ella, na kasama rin ni Angel sa salon at nakita rin ang nangyari.

Kuwento ni Becky sa PEP, "Beng was there, and base sa kuwento niya, walang sigawang nangyari and both were very professional habang nag-uusap. Nilinaw rin ni Beng na wala naman siyang nakitang sinipa ni Angel ang silya at hindi rin dinuro si Alex," sambit ng manager.

Hindi rin daw totoo na tinarayan ni Angel ang makeup artist na si Alex. Ang ginawa lang daw ng young actress ay sinabihan ito nang maayos na, "Kuya, kung hindi ka sigurado, sabihin mo, kasi pagmumulan ito ng issue."

Sabi ni Becky, "I guess it was an unfortunate incident, a small misunderstanding blown out of proportion and walang may gusto ng nangyari. Ayaw din ni Angel ng may kaaway, lalo pa nga si Claudine dahil idol niya ito."

Nagpaliwanag din ang manager ni Angel kung bakit medyo natagalan ang pagbibigay nila ng panig at ito raw ay bilang respeto na rin sa management ng ABS-CBN.

"Out of courtesy and respect with the management, hindi muna kami nagsalita or nagbigay ng pahayag about the matter. Hinintay muna naming magkaroon ng pag-uusap with them. Alam n'yo naman, baguhan pa lang si Angel sa ABS-CBN and the last thing na gusto naming mangyari ay yung may makasamaan ng loob," pahayag ni Becky.

Idinagdag din ni Becky na willing si Angel na makipag-usap kay Claudine at ayusin ang kung anumang hindi nila pinagkaintindihan at ito rin naman ang kanyang hangad.

"Open si Angel sa pakikipag-ayos and I'm hoping na in time ay darating din ‘yan," sabi niya.

ABS-CBN Plays Referree Over Angel-Claudine Dispute

ABS-CBN is silent between the rumored rift between Claudine Barretto and Angel Locsin until Gretchen Barretto spilled the beans during the presscon of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

Rumor has it that the two stars met in the beauty salon of Pin Antonio. Angel Locsin allegedly told Claudine Barretto “Huwag kang ma-insecure ha,” pertaining to the Folded and Hung endorsement where Angel replaced Claudine as their image model.

Claudine, on the other hand, reportedly told the Lobo star - “Hindi ikaw ang prinsesa sa ABS, si Bea (Alonzo).”

There were witnesses during the “tarayan” between the two stars and there were also different versions of the story.

This is not the first time that an issue came out involving Claudine and Angel. The first one was last year when Claudine allegedly snubbed Angel Locsin inside the dressing room of ASAP.

Apparently, the management is currently working to settle the dispute between the two stars.

FHM 100 Sexiest Women 2008 Poll Becomes Battle of the Fans

The fans of Angel Locsin are accusing FHM Magazine of manipulating the results of its annual poll and questioning Marian Rivera's no. 1 position. On the other hand, the fans of Marian Rivera answered, "Kung si Katrina Halili nga tinalo si Angel noong 2006 at 2007, si Marian pa kaya na mas sikat pa kay Katrina ngayon."

The controversy started when the rankings of the leading top 10 stars in the partial tally of FHM 100 Sexiest Women for 2008 were shaken based on the last update which was released last June 13, 2008. On May 30, a number of blogs and even TV Patrol reported that Angel Locsin is leading the poll with more than 7,000 votes ahead of the 2nd placer at that time which is Katrina Halili.

After 13 days or almost 2 weeks, Angel slid to 4th place and previous 3rd placer, Marian Rivera, is now in the no. 1 position.

Almost everyone changed their rankings EXCEPT for Katrina Halili who remained 2nd and Angelica Panganiban who stayed at 9th position. Take note that Anne Curtis entered the top 10 on June 13 (no. 6) at the expense of EB Babe Lian who left the top 10.

FHM Digital Publisher Denis Achilles del Callar released their explanation via PEP regarding the controversy:

"Any ‘results' previously released through FHM.com.ph's newsletter specifically states ‘PARTIAL AND INCOMPLETE RESULTS.' This is due to the fact that text votes do not come into our database automatically, they have to be gathered and added to the database—as do written/faxed votes.

"Contrary to the e-mails being circulated, we've never published the number of votes either on-line, through text or through the magazine. Any claim that so and so celebrity was leading last week by several thousand votes is therefore an act of fiction with no basis on reality.

"Also, voting was stricter this year precisely to discourage stars who pay people to do nothing but vote for them all day, only ten votes per day on-line and via text per user/cellphone is possible—unless you own multiple SIMs and user-Ids."

As for the technical glitches occasionally encountered by the phone subscribers, Denis argued that the FHM team absolutely has nothing to do with it.

"We have no control over Smart, Globe, and Sun," he explained. "If their system is currently faulty, it's not our fault and there's nothing we can do about it."

Marian Rivera's manager Popoy Caritativo was overwhelmed with the news that his talent is now leading the FHM poll. Between Angel, Iwa, Ehra, Katrina, Cristine and other stars trailing them, only Marian Rivera hasn't been a covergirl of FHM yet. He said FHM has invited Marian to be their covergirl even before she became popular via the telenovela Marimar but they never seal the deal. He added that if ever Marian makes it to no. 1 this year, they might consider the offer.

Popoy also said that nobody from FHM called their camp to inform them that Marian Rivera is indeed leading the 100 Sexiest Women poll. They only asked for a photograph of Marian since the Dyesebel star is absolutely one of the 100 women in the list, as they also asked for a photograph from the other stars as well.

According to the delayed "current results" of FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll, Marian Rivera is now (allegedly) in the no. 1 position while Angel Locsin dropped to no. 4.

According to Reggee Bonoan on his "Showbiz Atbpa." column in Balita, a number of people have seen the last update by FHM with regards to the ongoing "100 Sexiest" poll wherein the Dyesebel star has overtaken the top spot from Angel Locsin. Prior to the deadline of the poll, reports proliferated on blogs and even on primetime news last week that Angel Locsin is leading the said poll by more than 7,000 votes. Following her is previous winner Katrina Halili and in third place is Marian Rivera.

Allegedly, the last update was only seen for a very short time and now the website is showing a "Voting Has Ended" page:

Rumor has it that GMA has been distributing P300-worth of load to vote for Marian Rivera. Is this the reason why Marian is now leading the race? And who are the other two stars who had overtaken Angel Locsin? GMA vixens like Katrina Halili and Iwa Moto perhaps?

The winner will be revealed this July. So i guess we have to wait for a few more days to see if this is true.

Angel Locsin Outshines Katrina Halili in the Current Tally of FHM's 100 Sexiest

Angel Locsin is currently leading in the latest tally of votes for the 2008 FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. Is the Lobo star on track to dethrone Katrina Halili as the sexiest in the land?

According to reports, Katrina ruled the the race in the beginning but Angel came from behind and grabbed the top spot with a wide margin of more than 7,000 votes.

The poll isn't over yet. The public can still cast their votes online but just once per day. But you can vote as many times as you want through your mobile phones.

Here's how:

1. To vote, the texter must text in FHM100 and send to 2948. Example: FHM100 Iwa Moto. Texting of votes costs P2.50 for Smart, Talk N’ Text, Globe and Addict Mobile while P2.00 for Sun.

2. Replace "Iwa Moto" with the star of your choice. For example: Marian Rivera, Katrina Halili, Angel Locsin or stay with Iwa Moto. The syntax is first name, space, then last name of the star of your choice.

3. 1 text vote = 5 entries

4. To get a complete list of all keywords, text FHM100 to 2948.

5. Send all keywords to 2948 for Smart, Globe, Sun, Talk N’ Text and Addict Mobile subscribers.

6. Voting is until June 15, 2008 only.

Angel Locsin in Swimsuit - Cosmopolitan Magazine March 2008

Angel Locsin is gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine for the third time, but this one's different from what she did from any magazines before - she posed in a swimsuit!

PEP's take on Angel's Cosmo pictorial:

Despite being one of the biggest names in the industry today, Angel was surprisingly shy at the Cosmo cover shoot, getting quite jittery over the sexy summer shoot and clowning around with the Cosmo team just to loosen up. The jitters don't show in Angel's confident pose, as she says, "Lahat naman tayong mga babae, may body issues, di ba? But you should be happy with your body and comfortable in your own skin."

For Angel, being comfortable in your own skin shows in the way you carry yourself. She encourages Cosmo girls everywhere to make an effort to always look presentable and even dare to be kikay.

"Iba rin yung feeling ‘pag nakaayos kapag lalabas ka't alam mong okay ang itsura mo, ready kang harapin kahit sino." Angel points out, "It's great to be in jeans and T-shirt, but it's also great to be in a dress."

Angel continues to strive towards becoming a better version of herself by branching out of her comfort zone. Since 2007, she has taken time off to study fashion in London, become a first-time producer with the movie Angels, and is now learning how to play the guitar. "You have to keep on learning," she says, "You shouldn't get complacent." Clearly, Angel has become a woman of substance.

Aside from her role in ABS-CBN primetime series "Lobo", Angel has also put up a ladies' sportswear line called "Angel Active" which was launched last November 2007. Check out this highly-anticipated new series from ABS-CBN called "Lobo" which marks Angel Locsin's very first teleserye since she transferred to the kapamilya network. In this fantaserye helmed by the boxoffice director of "One More Chance" - Cathy Garcia Molina - Angel is being paired with ABS-CBN's top heartthrob Piolo Pascual. Also directing is Rory Quintos, known for highly acclaimed series Pangako sa Yo and the Aga Muhlach, Claudine Baretto starrer Dubai.

Completing the casts of Lobo are Shaina Magdayao, Dimples Romana, Ryan Eigenmann, Ella Cruz and Nash Aguas.

Angel Locsín (born Angélica Locsín Colmenares on April 23, 1985), is a Filipina television and film actress, commercial model, film producer, fashion designer, and product endorser who was introduced in GMA Network's youth-oriented program, Click. Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004. Soon after, she starred as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the popular Mars Ravelo comics hit. Locsin top-billed in several films and is known as the screen love interest of Richard Gutierrez and Dennis Trillo. In mid-2007, Angel left her mother studio, GMA Network and signed an exclusive contract in ABS-CBN despite her booming career in GMA. She told in an interview with Boy Abunda that she is no longer happy in GMA and she is looking forward to have a better career in ABS-CBN.

Locsín was born on April 23, 1985 in Bulacan province, where she also grew up. She is the second child of three. Her parents separated when she was fourteen, and she has since lived with her father.

Locsin's career in show business began after she was discovered by a talent scout while she cut classes with a friend and was shopping at SM City North EDSA in Quezon City. She auditioned for several commercials. She was supposed to be part of the Batch 9 of ABS-CBN's Star Circle Batch 9, but she failed to sign a contract with ABS-CBN'S Talent Center because her father, Angelo Colmenares, did not agree. After a year, she became a contract star of GMA.

Locsín first appeared in Click, a teen-oriented program on the GMA Network, as the tomboyish Charley (short for Charlotte), where she was first paired with Brian Revilla, then eventually to Railey Valeroso. She became widely known when she first appeared on the cover of FHM (Philippine edition). The same magazine consistently lists her as one of the "100 Sexiest Women in the World", as well as sexiest Filipina, ranking No. 2 behind Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie. She has also been known as a sex symbol of the Philippines.

She also appears in commercials endorsing, among others, Robitussin, Centrum, Smart, Axe, Timex Watch (with Piolo Pascual), Magnolia Health Tea, Avon Glazeware Lipstick, Eskinol, Avon, Lotus Ballpen, Converse Shoes, Happee Toothpaste, the new San Mig Coffee commercial called Dream (also with Piolo) and Head & Shoulders. She has other print ads endorsements that made her tie up with Piolo Pascual at the No.3 spot of the top product endorsers in the Philippines.

In 2003, her boyfriend, actor Miko Sotto, fell off from the 9th floor of his condominium in December 2003. Afterwards, her boyfriend's mother, movie actress and ABC newscaster Ali Sotto, donated his eyes to those in need. Angel eventually portrayed the dramatization of the life of one of these recipients in the TV drama show Magpakailanman.

After appearing in Click, Locsin gained further exposure as she was cast in the television shows Ang Iibigin Ay Ikaw Pa Rin, All Together Now, and Love to Love.

After her role as the half-human, half-avian Alwina in the 2004 Telefantasya Mulawin, where she was paired with Aguiluz (Richard Gutierrez), she auditioned for the title role of the classic Filipina superhero in Darna television series. She won the part handily among numerous actresses who tried out and was chosen to don the iconic red suit and crest. She also voiced the character of Kyoko Iwase in the Philippine Tagalog version of Initial D aired in Animax.

After Darna, Locsin reunited with former love team Dennis Trillo as they top-billed GMA's fantasy-themed series, Majika. Angel joined the GMA's biggest action-adventure Philippine drama starring Robin Padilla. This was her last project with GMA-7 before she left and took fashion design course in London.

Locsín also starred in films. Among her big screen credits are Kuya, Mano Po 2, Singles, Sigaw and the 2005 box-office hit Let The Love Begin, where she worked with on-screen partner Richard Gutierrez. Her team-up with Gutierrez is considered by some as one of the best pairings in the country.[citation needed] She also reprised her role as Alwina in the movie adaptation of Mulawin.

Locsín also dated Oyo Boy Sotto (born Vittorio Mari Sotto), son of actor Vic Sotto and actress Dina Bonnevie and cousin of her late boyfriend Miko Sotto.

Locsín also admitted on a Filipino talk show "Ali" that she has been an avid fan of WWF/WWE (World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment) since childhood. Her favorite wrestlers are Triple H and the Filipino-Greek-American Batista, whom she met at the show 'Eat Bulaga' backstage.

Locsín is reunited with Richard Gutierrez for the movie The Promise which was co-produced by Regal Entertainment and GMA FILMS Production. The movie has a different portrayal for both, showcasing a more mature role. It has a love scene and a bed scene which the two haven't done in any other films. She and Richard are considered the most popular young stars of their generation and both are one of the most highest paid stars.[citation needed]

Today, ABS-CBN Kapamilya Network confirmed that Locsin and Piolo Pascual will be launched as their newest loveteam. Both of them already signed a movie contract and said during an interview with The Buzz that they are very much excited to do projects together.

Recently Angel co-hosted Mariel Rodriguez and Valerie Concepcion in the noon time show Wowowee primarily hosted by the controversial Willie "Papi" Revillame. She joined the Wowowee production and gave tribute to the military men who fought the rebels in Basilan. Her appearance in Wowowee last September 1, 2007 gave another hit to the rating of the show. She just also received good reviews of her performance in a recent Maalaala Mo Kaya episode entitled "Pilat" which paired her with hearthrob Sam Milby. It is said that Locsin and Milby also have good chemistry on screen.

Locsin had her fair share of controversy after appearing in a TV ad for Axe (manufactured by Unilever Philippines). Many feminist groups, as well as former Senator Nikki Coseteng, complained about the offensive gestures in the advertisement.[citation needed] In the television commercial, Angel is teasing a man by showing off money and her body, but the man approaches Angel and takes only her money. Because of these complaints, Unilever pulled out the commercial.

On July 20, 2007, Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 81 Presiding Judge Ma. Theresa Yadao dismissed Locsin's petition for reformation of instrument and/or rescission/breach of contract and damages filed against Rebecca "Becky" Aguila after granting her motion to dismiss, based on settlement of their differences. Locsin sued her manager on December 6 where she asked the court to order the reformation of the terms of the Artist Management Contract which she had signed, to reflect the true intention of the parties.[1]

Locsin's five-year contract with GMA expired in mid-2007. Her manager, Becky Aguila, and her father, Angel Colmenares, sent a letter, formally informing GMA that her talent would not renew her contract with the Kapuso network.[2] In August 2007, she transferred to ABS-CBN Network, the rival TV station of GMA.[3] She told in an interview with Boy Abunda that she is no longer happy with GMA and she is looking forward to having a better career in ABS-CBN. With her statement, many were disappointed. And even accusing her of being ingrate because of her ungrateful actions. Because GMA has made her a superstar in a short period of time.

GMA's Senior Vice-President for Entertainment, Wilma Galvante, expressed her disappointment with Angel's career move. In a phone patch interview with Showbiz Central, Galvante said that they were the last to know about Angel and her manager's intentions. Galvante said that they had asked Angel Locsin twice if her camp was negotiating with the rival network, and Locsin and her Manager repeatedly denied there was a negotiation going on. The GMA Executive further expressed disappointment that they were only informed of the impending transfer, through a letter from Becky Aguila, a few hours before Aguila and Locsin's father discussed the transfer on an interview with one of the shows of ABS-CBN.[4]

Moreover, Locsin had an alleged video sex scandal. The video was being sold in a pirated DVD. After a while, they figured out that the woman in the video was a pornstar from Thailand "Natt Chanapa" who looked just like her.

Marami ang nagulat sa pag papa-interview ni Ms. Wilma Galvante sa Showbiz Central last Sunday regarding sa pag-alis ng talent nilang si Angel Locsin. Mismong mga taga-GMA-7 staff ay naloka rin sa pagtatalak ng kanilang bossing dahil halatang bitter daw sa pagkawala ng aktres dahil nga prime talent nila si Angel.

Bukod kay Ms. Galvante ay nagsalita rin si Ms. Redgie Magno na nalulungkot siya sa pag-alis ni Angel at napaiyak pa dahil napamahal na raw sa kanya ang young actress na ilang taon din niyang nakasama at itinuring pang anak. Samantala, off daw ang naging panayam ni Pia Guanio (isa sa host ng SC) kay Ms. Galvante dahil ang naging takbo ng usapan ay ang pag-reveal sa mga naging pag-uusap nila ni Angel at ng manager nitong si Becky Aguila.

Say ni Ms. Galvante ay dalawang beses nilang tinanong si Angel kung totoong nakikipag-negotiate na sila ni Becky sa Dos at ang sabi raw ng young actress ay hindi at hindi rin lilipat. Ask uli ni Pia kung totoo bang isa sa mga ikinasama ng loob ni Angel ay dahil hindi sinuportahan ng network ang prinodyus niyang pelikula na Angels.

Si Orly na kasi ang namahala ng lahat ng pagbebenta ng video and TV/cable rights, siya yung parang naging agent ko since nag-abono siya for the movie. Siya yung nagbayad ng Kodak stocks, distributor's fee and checker's fee. "

"Ibinenta ni Orly ang TV/cable rights sa GMA-7 for P3M. Yung P1.5M went to TV plug for Angels, 17 TV spots yun na mixed 15 and 30-seconder. Yung P1.5M ang cash na mapupunta kay Orly. Actually, hindi ko nga alam kung naibigay na kay Orly ang P1.5M ng GMA dahil hindi na kami nagkausap ni Orly. You can ask Orly naman about that.

HINDI pa man pormal ang pagiging Kapamilya ni Angel Locsin ay bugbog-sarado na ito sa kung anik-anik na wala namang pruwebang mga kasiraang balita. Halata namang gawa-gawa lang ang mga paninira na ito sa kanya. Siyempre, very obvious din naman at kahit na yung pinakamangmang na nilalang ay knows kung sino ang nagpasimuno ng kung anik-anik na tsismis kay Angel. Bitter kasi sila, noh!

Sa totoo lang, hindi ka-mi close kay Angel. Nakilala namin ang young actress years back sa kaarawan nito na ginanap sa isang subdivision sa Quezon City, at wala pa yatang one year sa showbiz noon ang dalaga. Doon pa lang ay nakitaan na namin ng magagandang katangian si Angel. Mabait, magalang at deretsong sinabi namin sa kanya noon, kaharap ang dating katotong Jun Estado (nag-imbita sa amin sa party na yun), na malayo ang mararating ng dalaga sa showbiz.

Isang malaking halimbawa na rin si Robin Padilla. Sa pagkakaalam namin noon ay nakahanda na ang Dos for renewal of contract ni Robin. Nag-final meeting na at ibinigay ng istasyon ang talent fee na hiningi ng aktor. Gawa na ang kontrata ready for his signature with matching check, pero kinabukasan nalaman na lang ng istasyon na nasulot na ng siyete si Robin.So, what's new?

Angel Locsin Di Kaya Ma-Frozen Delight Lang?

Parang hindi kapanipaniwala ang sinasabing biglaan ang naging desisyon ni Angel Locsin na lumipat sa ABS-CBN. Kahit na sabihin mong sikat si Angel, parang hindi rin naman kami naniniwala na basta na lang tatanggapin ng ABS-CBN ang offer na lumipat siya kung wala naman silang proyektong maibibigay sa kanya. Mas naniniwala kami na matagal na ang nangyayaring negosasyon sa pagitan ng kampo ni Angel at ng ABS-CBN tungkol sa mga bagay na iyan.

Hindi mo masisisi ang ABS-CBN, dahil lumalabas sa mga usapan na ang manager mismo ni Angel ang nag-alok sa kanila ng kanyang serbisyo. Ang tiyak na maaapektuhan agad sa nangyaring paglipat ni Angel Locsin ay si Jennylyn Mercado at iba pang artista na nasa management ng manager ni Angel.

Nawala yata sa isip niya na may kontrata pa ang mga yon sa GMA 7. Aasahan mo pa bang bibigyan iyan ng push ng GMA eh matatakot na sila tiyak na kung sisikat pa ang mga iyon posibleng bitbitin na naman ng kanilang manager sa ABS-CBN? Ang malamang na mangyari sa mga artistang iyan ay makabilang na sa mga "frozen delights" o kaya magpapalit na muna sila ng manager nila dahil kung hindi para silang nasa bartolina niyan.

Angel Locsin will be the first to admit that she never thought this kind of celebrity status would be tagged on her at such a young age. In fact, she never thought she would be an actress at all, especially one that seems to be this year’s current hot property.

As she nears her 21th birthday, Angel reflects on the last year. It was a year of many changes. She moved out of the family house and into her own condo unit. Her long time teen show (Click) aired its last episode.

She stepped a little beyond her comfort zone to pose for FHM a stint that would land her in the Top 100 Sexiest Women polls. But most of all, it was the role of Alwina on tele-fantasy Mulawin that created the biggest change in her life.

Suddenly, she catapulted into the spotlight. Every career move pored over; every angle scrutinized. Now, with her title role in Mars Ravelo’s Darna: the television series, her rank in the showbiz A-list continues to skyrocket.

So yes, Angel does feel that she has much to be thankful for. Her last year as a teenager has been filled with strokes of luck and blessings.
